Easter fun at Lytham Hall
The daffodils are out, the temperature is rising: all signs point to a great Spring holiday at Lytham Hall this year.
For some years now Easter Sunday has been established as Family Fun Day, organised by the Friends of Lytham Hall, to fundraise for the restoration of the Hall. Children from all around come with magnificent bonnets and pick up a trail to explore the parkland. There is a tombola and bric-a-brac stall, RSPCA will be on site to talk about animals great and small. This year we have an extra attraction of Punch & Judy and magic performance too, courtesy of Johnny Hardy.
The entertainment will run from 11am until 4pm, and different activities carry different prices, with all income going to the restoration and upkeep of Lytham Hall. So you will have a fun day out, knowing that you are making a difference to the future of Lytham Hall.
During the Easter holiday there will be other activities for children, for which you need to pre-book as places are limited. There is a chance to build toy dens and nests on Tuesday 31 March and Wednesday 8 April, between 1 and 3pm, for £5 per child. Or if you fancy seasonal crafts, where you make finger puppets and cards, you can book a place on Wednesday 1 April or Tuesday 7 April between 1 and 2.30pm, for £2.50 per child.
Marianne Blaauboer, Activity Plan Officer at Lytham Hall said: “The Friends of Lytham Hall are well known for organising a fantastic family event on Easter Sunday. We are building on this with more activities during the Easter holidays. The Hall and Tea Room will also be open on Easter Monday. We hope you can fit us into your holiday schedule!”
