No 5K run on 4 October.... but!

People have been enquiring whether the annual Lytham Hall 5K run is on this Sunday.

The answer is, no. After 5 years of organising, the organisers decided it was time to move on. However, we are very close to hosting our very own parkrun at Lytham Hall. Kirsten Burnett has gathered a great group of volunteers, who will be marshalling. A start date is not set yet, but is expected to be before Christmas.

parkrun is a timed 5K run which takes place in parks all over the country. It is free to participate, just a charge for car parking on our site. You run against yourself, as you try to improve your running time week in, week out. The atmosphere is friendly, and it is a great way of getting fit, and making friends.
