Profits of £5500 from last summer’s open air theatre shows at Lytham Hall will help to pay for the l

Julian Wilde, organiser of the theatre season handed over the donation to deputy general manager Paul Lomax at a special ceremony at Lytham Hall.

Julian feels that both theatregoers and the team of volunteers who organise the play days will be delighted to see how the money donated to the Hall Appeal Fund is being used.

“The repainting is very much needed and is a major undertaking, so we are delighted that our donation is being used in this way. The grounds of Lytham Hall provide a wonderful setting for open air theatre and it will be good to see the exterior of the Hall looking smart and bright once more.”

Paul Lomax confirmed that work will begin shortly.

“We now have all the necessary planning permissions and have researched the paint and other materials very carefully. The outdoor theatre shows provide much entertainment and are very worthwhile in themselves.

It is excellent that all the profits from the enterprise are also donated to help with the ongoing renovation of the Hall. I am very grateful to Julian and his team”.

Booking for the 2018 season which has been expanded to five plays for the first time opened last week with Chapterhouse Theatre opening the season with their production of Little Women on Sunday 17 June
